Terms of Service

Last updated: March 6, 2026

These Terms of Service govern the use of HealFrame (the 'Service'). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

Nature of the Service

HealFrame is a self-care tool for trauma recovery. This Service does not replace professional psychological counseling, mental health treatment, or medical services.

  • HealFrame is not a therapy service and does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
  • In a crisis, please contact 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or your local emergency services immediately.
  • We recommend using HealFrame as a complement to professional treatment.

User Obligations

  • Provide accurate information and do not use another person's account.
  • Respect other users in Circle activities and refrain from harmful language or behavior.
  • Do not misuse the Service or use it for illegal purposes.
  • Do not share other users' identifiable information.

Age Requirements

The minimum age to use the Service varies by jurisdiction:

  • South Korea: 14 years or older (Information and Communications Network Act)
  • United States: 13 years or older (COPPA). Children under 13 may not use the Service without verifiable parental consent.
  • EU/EEA: 16 years or older (GDPR; may be 13-16 depending on member state). Users below the applicable age require parental or guardian consent.
  • Japan: 14 years or older
  • Other regions: 14 years or older, or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher

Content Policy

All Circle check-ins and responses are processed through an AI safety classification system.

  • General emotional expression, growth experiences, and daily content will be published.
  • Specific trauma details or excessive self-blame will prompt a suggestion to edit.
  • Suicidal/self-harm intent or threatening content will be blocked, and crisis resources will be shown.

Copyright Policy (DMCA)

HealFrame respects the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the copyright laws of other jurisdictions.

  • Copyright infringement notice: If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a notice to contact@soursea.io including: (1) a signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent, (2) identification of the copyrighted work, (3) location of the infringing content, (4) your contact information, (5) a statement of good faith belief, and (6) a statement under penalty of perjury.
  • Counter-notification: If you believe content was wrongfully removed, you may submit a counter-notification.
  • Repeat infringer policy: Accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright may be terminated.
  • Copyright agent: contact@soursea.io

Payment and Refunds

  • The Free plan includes basic features (including 3 image transformations per month).
  • The Pro plan is available as a monthly or annual subscription.
  • You may request a refund within 7 days of your first subscription.
  • Subscription cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Payments are processed through Stripe, and Stripe's terms of service apply.

Disclaimer

  • The Service does not guarantee specific therapeutic outcomes.
  • AI-generated content is for reference purposes and does not replace professional advice.
  • We do not guarantee continuous availability of the Service; it may be temporarily suspended for maintenance.
  • We are not liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.

Intellectual Property

  • Intellectual property rights for the Service's design, code, and content belong to HealFrame.
  • Rights to user-created content such as check-ins and responses remain with the user.
  • A limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to user content is granted for Service operation purposes. This license terminates upon account deletion.

The method of dispute resolution depends on your jurisdiction of residence:

  • South Korea residents: These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The Seoul Central District Court shall have jurisdiction.
  • EU/EEA residents: The laws of your country of residence apply. You may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr). Your rights under EU consumer protection law are not limited.
